So What Kind Of Desserts Are Okay For Acid Reflux?

Desserts with ginger and cinnamon are okay to eat if you have Gerd. Reason being is both act as soothing elements for your stomach.

Most all spices such as these can be consumed without getting heartburn.

I have also seen that desserts with peanut butter and pumpkin are okay to eat as well. (The guinea pig being my husband as my family loves desserts we had to find something we could all enjoy without my husband suffering from heartburn afterwards.)

It is also said that bananas are great for those who suffer from Acid Reflux. Although there is a very slim amount of people (1%) who says bananas worsen their condition.

My mother is in the 1% but my husband is not. This is where the-- what affects one person may not affect another motto comes in.

The key to delicious, healthy, low/no sugar desserts...

When making desserts I use Steviva Brand Stevia Blend or pure Stevia powder. This is a natural sweetener much better for you than both sugar and artificial sweeteners.

Neither one of these natural sweeteners measure cup for cup as artificial sugar and sugar do. This is because stevia is naturally sweeter than sugar and less is more. Here is Steviva's conversion chart, so that you can easily know what to replace granulated sugar with.

If the recipe is not one of my own (redirected to another site), I will add sugar replacements in the description to make it easier for you.

Steviva recommends when a recipe calls for brown sugar, you can use an equal amount of steviva blend with 2 tablespoons of molasses or if you are needing a brown sugar substitute and do not have the blend, you can also use 1 cup of unsweetened apple sauce, 1/8 a teaspoon of Stevia powder and 2 tablespoons of molasses.

I personally use the blend brown sugar substitute.

**My advice is if you find anything in these dessert recipes for acid reflux that give You heartburn, omit it or substitute for something else if you can. Each individual may be different,so what may irritate one may not another.**
